TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® focuses on innovation in 2017

2017 will be an incredible year at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, as we look to build on the strengths that have pushed the brand to the levels it’s at today, while also adding fresh ideas that will broaden what we are able to do as a customer service brand.

“2017 brings in a new year for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, and many big goals,” said TWOjeff-wesley MEN AND A TRUCK® CEO Jeff Wesley. “With over 85 months of consecutive growth for the brand, we are not sitting still – we are looking to take customer service and new projects to a different level. We are so excited about the direction of the brand, and the aligned vision of our system on continuing to be the leading and most innovative moving company in the world.”

Numerous initiatives are set to take place to accomplish system goals, from our new long-distance moving initiative, Value Flex, to breaking new ground in the world of portable storage, and improving the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Customer Relationship Center.

Innovative Long-Distance Solutions

Value Flex is another long-distance option for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® customers, and uses a long-haul carrier to transport customer belongings at a reduced rate from the expedited long-distance service we offer. Countless hours of research have been completed by members of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® team to find another long-distance option, which is also cost effective, for our customers.

“Value Flex is a key initiative we are continuously building to take our brand to a newlindsey-schaibly level of service to potential customers who might not have looked to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in the past for interstate moving,” said Moving Services Director Lindsey Schaibly. “As we look to offer our outstanding service at a lower price point and reach more customers, Value Flex will be a key step for our brand.”

Beginning in May, franchises around the country will work Value Flex into their day-to-day operations. Four franchises — Orlando, Atlanta, Lansing,
and Cincinnati — have already begun the service, and many new franchises are set to work their way into the system as hub locations. This will be a major step forward for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand into the long-distance moving space, and we are excited to provide potential customers with even more great moving options.

Portable Storage

Another major innovation for the company heading into 2017 is portable storage. Portable storage is something that customers have been seeking for years, due to the convenience of customers having the ability to store their belongings at a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® facility, as opposed to storing it elsewhere after a move.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations vary in the storage options they offer — many locations offer on-site storage in a warehouse facility, while others have local relationships with storage facilities in the area. Now that portable containers will be present due to Value Flex, we now have even more options to provide customers with portable storage solutions. Locations with containers will be able to drop the units off at the home or business of a customer, with the customer loading or unloading the unit themselves and the container staying on the property for a designated amount of time.

“As TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® continues to diversify, portable storage is a key project we are working through this year, and we are so excited to launch it to our customers,” Schaibly said. “While many of our locations offer onsite storage, we know the demand for portage storage exists, and we are building a program for franchises to expand their revenue stream.”

Having this service available will not only boost our available services for customers, but it will also put our brand out there for people to see when they drive by a location currently using a portable storage container.

Customer Relationship Center

Another great initiative that will be expanded upon in 2017 will be TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s Customer Relationship Center.

The goal of the CRC is to ensure we are available to engage with customers in need outside of regular business hours, and it has proven to be a worthwhile investment for the company overall. Now, we have the ability to connect with those reaching out to us after the local shop is closed, making sure we can continue to provide the excellent customer service our customers have come to expect.

The CRC will be looking to add more channels of communication for engaging with customers so they can receive estimates and information in the manner they prefer most, such as text message or email.

2017 is shaping up to be a big year for everyone involved with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, as we seek to support our customers’ moving needs in creative and comprehensive ways.
