TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® 2017 Annual Meeting Wrap Up

Deep in the beautiful peaks of the Rocky Mountains, employees from across the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system met from March 4 through March 7 in Colorado Springs, CO., for one of the biggest company events of the year – Annual Meeting.

Franchisees, managers, executives, and everyone in between met at the Broadmoor Hotel for a three-day event focused on the future of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, including ways to succeed, the implementation of the ValueFlex long-distance moving service and portable storage, and the system’s new customer relationship center, among many other key projects and areas of focus.

Vendors were on hand to show the latest and greatest in products that could help boost success, and members from Home Office provided support, workshops, and fun, making the event beneficial for all, while also showing what innovations are in store as the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand moves forward.

“We continue to rank as the best in the industry and after 87 consecutive months of record growth and success, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® vision is accelerating rapidly,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® CEO Jeff Wesley. “With the launch of ValueFlex, new mini-markets, and expansion of our footprint with new locations combined with new releases of technology initiatives, the brand is looking to set new levels of success. Customers continue to enjoy the best experience in the moving industry, and the brand continues to expand its services and capabilities. We are excited about the future and the additional partners we continue to add to the family culture of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.”

The event kicked off Sunday morning, and attendees got to hear from the original two men – Brig Sorber and Jon – and the system’s first franchisee who also happens to be their sister, Melanie Bergeron, as the founding family talked about their favorite customer service stories, and the brand essentially began with simple, kind gestures allowing their customers to remember the details they put into their moves. Attendees also listened to the company executives on the state of the system, and the accomplishments everyone had a part in during 2016.

The Annual Meeting keynote speaker was Scott Stratten, an award-winning author and speaker who spoke on his “unmarketing” philosophy, and how this could apply to the Stickmen brand.

Day two of Annual Meeting consisted of education, discussion, and innovation, as the guests were given an inside look to the future of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, how to improve their individual locations, and also the chance to speak with vendors and see new and exciting products for potential use. The final day of Annual Meeting gave everyone from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® a chance to honor founder Mary Ellen Sheets, who is transitioning to retirement after more than 30 years.

Annual Meeting was also a chance to recognize those who have excelled in the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system of the past year, and the final day – and the entire event – was a chance to honor those who have gone above and beyond to make sure the brand remains on top.

Two of the big awards presented were the Move Hero awards, which were awarded to people in the system who have made a major impact with their outstanding work ethic.

The first award winner was Stephan Eveland of the Fort Myers, Fla., franchise, who does a great job of communicating and providing excellent customer service despite being completely deaf. The other Move Hero was Patrick Worthy of Durham, N.C., franchise, who uses his outstanding leadership and motivational skills to make an impact on everyone he works with.

The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Annual Meeting was just another great reminder that truly shows why TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® continues to be the leader in the moving industry world. Here are some photos from the event.
