Although a large focus for us here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK will always be our customer service, we also put a heavy emphasis on many other aspects of our business – most notably our franchise model and satisfaction of our franchisees.
This franchise model is what has propelled our company from a local business to an international success, and we’re always looking for ways to continue growing our business while bringing in successful, business-minded individuals. This month, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK was able to pick up two more forms of recognition from the popular franchising website – Franchise Business Review.
This online resource was founded to provide ratings and reviews of the top franchising brands around the world based on franchisee satisfaction, and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has been consistently featured on their franchising lists.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK named a Top 50 Franchise for Women
Our company was founded by Mary Ellen Sheets and has continued to feature a strong presence of successful business women throughout the three-plus decades we’ve been in operation. From movers all the way to franchisees, we’re proud of the women who help move this company, and our customers, forward!
Franchise Business Review recently ranked TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in the Top 50 franchises for women after surveying nearly 8,000 female franchise owners from 265 franchise brands. The franchisees were surveyed on a variety of questions regarding their experience and satisfaction in critical areas of franchising, ranging from leadership to training and support, financial opportunity, and work/life balance.
“You get the best of both worlds! You get the support of a large franchise system, but you are independently owned and operated so you have a high-level of autonomy. You don’t have to have experience in the moving industry because of the training that is provided to you,” said Kathleen White, the franchisee for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Virginia Beach, VA., location, in an interview with Franchise Business Review. “TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has a unique culture in that it is an open system, and seasoned franchises are always willing to answer questions and help new franchisees. It is a proven system, as shown by the consistent growth TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has experienced within the United States, and beyond.”
Franchise Business Review COO, Michelle Rowan, spoke about the award.
“The franchise industry provides many options to women seeking business ownership on a full- or part-time basis in multiple sectors,” says Michelle Rowan, president and COO of Franchise Business Review. “The number of franchise opportunities can be overwhelming, so it’s critical to examine feedback from other female franchise owners on how well the franchise meets their expectations in terms of support, work/life balance, financial opportunity, and other key areas of business ownership. When you look at the brands on our list, a whopping 90% of women said they enjoyed owning and operating their own business.”

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK named a Top Service Franchise
Continuing the positive recognition, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK was also featured on Franchise Business Review’s “Top Service Franchises” list this month.
FBR surveyed 19,500 franchisees from 174 brands, analyzing 18 months of data to determine the franchisee’s overall satisfaction with their brand and their likelihood to recommend it to others. Questions asked of the franchisees covered topics like training and support, franchisor/franchisee relations, and financial opportunity.
“We have a dynamic franchise system that rewards teamwork and grit,” said Mike Lally, a multi-unit franchisee with locations in Kentucky and Ohio. “Our leadership continues to raise standards and expectations, which if we all have a voice in getting there, protects our position as an industry leader. I continue to watch hardworking, disciplined, and open-minded people join our system and take us to new heights, which is always a recipe for success.”
Franchise Business Review described what went into this award.
“Service businesses are appealing for several reasons including their low cost, low overhead, and flexibility, not to mention the wide selection of opportunities within the sector,” said Eric Stites, CEO and managing director of Franchise Business Review. “With the tremendous demand and growth we’re seeing in services franchises, it’s more important than ever to make sure you do thorough research and die diligence before choosing a brand. All of the franchises on this year’s list are performing well in many areas critical to their franchisees’ success and have made franchisee satisfaction a top priority.”
