TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has come a long way in the 30 years since it all began, and so too have numerous franchisees who have put in multiple decades of time helping our brand move forward.
For Franchisee Chad Arnold, he’s had a long journey with the “Movers Who Care®” – 20 years, in fact. At the young age of 25, Arnold purchased his first TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise location, and hasn’t looked back since as he continues to expand his reach.
“It was 1999, and I purchased the Southwest Oakland, Mich., franchise,” Arnold said, who currently owns six locations in the state of Texas. “At 25-years-old, I had no idea what I was doing. It was definitely a challenge being so young but after a lot of persistence, I was able to get some funding and get things rolling.”
Arnold’s previous experience to that point was working in the home delivery industry, and no business ownership experience to speak of.
Still, the idea of purchasing his own business was what attracted him to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and convinced him to dive in head first.
“I think one of the biggest things that pulled me in was knowing that I could make a difference in people’s lives,” Arnold said. “At 25-years-old, being able to control my own fate in my career was very appealing.”
Arnold hasn’t looked back since that first purchase in 1999, and is now running the entire Dallas market with his franchises he recently took over.
“Being young, I had to learn quickly that you need to surround yourself with talented people if you are going to succeed in this business,” Arnold said. “You can’t do this thing alone.”
Twenty years later, Arnold has found a system that works for him, and it’s evident in the business success he’s seen over the years.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK provided Arnold with the stability and direction he was looking for in his career at the time and all these years later, he still points to the flexibility of the job and the ability to make a difference in the lives of others as two of his favorite aspects of the job.
His goals as a franchisee have changed over the years, too, but he’s still finding new ways to help maintain the culture at each of his locations.
“My goal is always just to build a culture where your opinion matters,” Arnold said. “I want to help mentor those that want to grow and move forward within the brand.”
Arnold is another great success story for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchising network, and he would recommend the opportunity to anyone who is willing to put in the work and who wants to make an impact in their community.
“TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has helped me achieve some of my personal and professional goals in life,” Arnold said. “They system is truly unique, and those who are willing to work will have all of the success they are seeking. There is always risk, but knowing you have partners driving the brand as you are is truly priceless.”
