With so many franchise locations across the country, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisee network is incredibly diverse and full of individuals with a wide-range of business backgrounds.
This makes the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK peer network even more important to new franchisees, as each is able to draw on the different experiences that others have. For new Franchisee Drew Brooks, he brings another layer to this network as he recently joined TWO MEN AND A TRUCK to take over the Little Rock, Ark., location.
Brooks has spent the last eight years working in commercial real estate, but is now ready to take on a new challenge in his career as he becomes a business owner.
“I have always wanted the opportunity to be my own boss and grow a company,” Brooks said. “I am most excited about being a part of a team. I have always been a part of team in my life, whether it’s a sports team or a small business, and I’m excited to get back into that kind of environment with this new role.”
Brooks’ new team will be the staff at the Little Rock location, and he’s ready to hit the ground running as he takes over the operation from previous ownership and puts his own spin on the franchise.
“I’m really excited about working with the current employees,” Brooks said. “I have met them, and could not be happier about the whole team there.”
With his background in commercial real estate – where Brooks had negotiated land purchased contracts in 14 states – he feels he’s prepared to transfer the “people skills” he developed there into the moving industry.
He’s coming from a completely different world than moving, and he’s still learning in the ins and outs of the business in a relatively short time. Still, he has some goals in mind as he eases into this first year of business, and it’s mostly focused around franchise growth.
“My goals for the franchise are to start bringing in new trucks in the spring time, while still holding on to some of our older vehicles through the busy season before we place another order for more trucks,” Brooks said. “This will allow us to grow more organically and get our sales numbers up and maximize the potential of this market.”
As for his goals since becoming a franchisee, he’s focused on growth as a business owner and working hard to keep a strong commitment to customer service.
“My goals as a franchisee are simply to maintain our excellent customer service scores while still providing an opportunity for our employees to grow and accomplish anything they want to in their lives,” Brooks said.
Brooks is just one of many new franchisees to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK family in 2019, and we’re thrilled to have him on board as he helps us to expand in yet another market.
“I would recommend franchising with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK because of the incredible support and the people who work at the company,” Brooks said. “I can honestly say that everyone I have interacted with has been the most helpful, caring people I could have hoped for when I joined on.”
