Since Nathan Bocock started his franchising journey with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, he’s continued adding to his franchising portfolio with the brand.
He’s worked hard to get where he is now in 2020 – which would be a multi-unit franchise owner, with a large network of franchisees under his leadership and the leadership of his franchising group, NBF Franchising Group. Together, the group now operates locations in the state of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas.
He’s come a long way since when he first signed a franchise agreement in 2012, and has no plans of slowing down.
“I became a franchisee in 2012, and I trained in Lansing for two weeks before finally making the purchase of my first franchise,” said Bocock. “Overall, the process was good. I think the process has improved greatly since that time for purchasing a franchise, and Home Office offers tremendous support for startup opportunities in franchising.”
Bocock has always learned on the fly as he works to grow his operations and find more success, and this mindset is how he got started and was able to learn the business back in his early days of franchising.
“I think that in order to succeed, you have to learn by fire in this business, and it can be tough when you first start,” Bocock said. “You don’t realize how hands-on the moving business is until you start running your first move crews.”
Even with the learning curve that came with opening TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations, Bocock has enjoyed every step of the process thus far, and credits the people throughout the brand as being one of his favorite aspects of the job.
The chance to impact the lives of others is another aspect of franchising with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK that Bocock has found rewarding, and it was a desire to make a difference in people’s lives that drove him to this career in the first place.
“This has gone better than I could have imagined – I love what I do,” Bocock said. “I love the brand, and I love the relationships that I have with people at Home Office. More than ever, I think we are leaning on each other in a healthy way to make our business better.”
Bocock is continuing to work hard at growth for all of his locations and alongside of his franchisee partners.
Hiring people who are leaders and want to grow their careers has been the main object to keep things moving forward, and he sets goals that fit each of his franchise locations that will impact his employees, impact customers, and develop new leaders within their teams.
He would recommend franchising with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK to anyone who wants to make this same kind of difference in people’s lives, and he’s thankful for the opportunities the brand has provided him.
“The main reason I would recommend TWO MEN AND A TRUCK? I trust the brand,” Bocock said. “I don’t know that franchisees in other brands could say the same thing.”
