Moving forward – it’s a theme that is talked about often in the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK family, and one we love talking about when it comes to our employees and franchisees.

This is evident in all levels of the company, especially with our Mary Ellen’s Moving People Forward Scholarship program, which was designed to take managers in the system, and put them through training and educational programs, ultimately choosing a winner at the end  to be awarded $50,000 toward their own franchise. This is a great opportunity for people to elevate their careers, and our 2018 winner, Liz Friedmann, recently opened her own location, in partnership with the franchisee team she was part of, and is settling into her new role. The goal at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK always has been and always will be to offer our industry-leading moving services to as many customers as possible, and a big part of this starts with expanding our number of franchise locations.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK brand recently moved into another important city – Reno, Nevada.

New Franchisee Russ Riggs moved to Reno four years ago with his wife, and immediately fell in love with the area. He already had experience in the world of franchising, but noticed one key business was lacking in Reno – high-quality, professional moving services. After working through the process of owning his own TWO MEN ANDA TRUCK location, he just recently opened the brand’s first location in Reno. Continue reading

A solid business partnership requires a familiarity with the other person and a relationship that is built on trust, and for Franchisee Cory Christensen, he has just that.

Christensen – who is the franchisee for three different TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations in the state of Illinois – his business partner is someone he’s known literally his entire life: his father.

Christensen and his father, Bob, purchased the Rockford, Illinois, location in 2008, and eleven years later have added on two more locations to their resume. Christensen’s path to franchising wasn’t traditional – or even something he expected – but he found a home within the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK brand, and it has paid off. Continue reading

Being a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisee is more than just building a successful moving franchise in cities across the globe – it’s about giving back to the communities they operate in, and making a difference for the people who live in these areas.

Founder Mary Ellen Sheets set this tone from day one with the company, and it’s a sentiment that is still carried out today. Of the many ways TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and our franchisees give back each year, perhaps none is bigger than our Movers for Moms® campaign. Continue reading

When Clint Bergman arrived in Missouri from the state of Texas, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK wasn’t initially on his radar.

Bergman was moving to Springfield to attend the Baptist Bible Seminary, where he would eventually go on to earn his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Hebrew and the Old Testament. In the meantime while taking these courses, Bergman needed a job, and that’s how he found his way into the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK network. Continue reading

Of all the things that encapsulate what we stand for at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, perhaps no story fits better than Tyler Whalen’s.

From working on the frontline and climbing his way up to participating in Mary Ellen’s Moving People Forward® Scholarship program and ultimately becoming a successful multi-unit TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisee, Whalen has been a walking billboard for how this company promotes from within and works hard to move people along in their careers.
